Statement of Faith

  1. We believe in one eternal God who manifested Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He created the world and gave man special authority in it. Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; II Sam. 7:22: Ps. 83:18; 86:10; Isa. 44:6: Mark 12:29; John 1:1, 14; I Cor. 8:4
  1. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died a sanctified death, was raised bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven. This is the Gospel (good news) and is sufficient to save every man. Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Acts 1:11; 20:28; Rom. 1:16; I Cor. 15:1-4; Col. 1:20; Heb. 4:15; I Pet 2:22
  1. We believe in water baptism and the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; 8:16, 38: 10:48; 16:33; 19:5.
  1. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with one of the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance. Luke 3:16; John 1:33; John (chapters) 14, 16; Acts 1:5, 8: 2:4; 38-39; 8:16-17; 10:48; 16:33; Acts 19:1-7.
  1. We believe that Christians should be holy in thought, deed and conversation. I Cor. 15:34; I Tim. 2:2; Titus 2:11-12; II Pet. 3:11.
  1. We believe in the operation of the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church. Acts 11:5, I Cor. (chapters) 12, 13, 14; and Gal 5:22.
  1. We believe that worship is to be in the Spirit (a communion of man with God). Ps. 100; 149; 150; John 4:23; and Phil. 4:6
  1. We believe in the imminent, physical return of Jesus to the earth. John 14:2-3; Acts 1:11; 1Thes. 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; and 1 John 3:2.
  1. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. The believer will be raised to life immortal, the unbeliever to eternal punishment; and separation from God. Ps. 71:20; Hosea 13:14; John 5:25; 11:25; Acts 24:15; 1 Cor. 15:51-58; II Cor. 4:14; 1 Thes. 4:16; Rev. 20:11-15.
  1. We believe the Bible to be the absolute Word of God. II Tim. 3:16; I1 Pet. 1:21.
  1. We believe in the fall of man, the need of regeneration by the operation of the Holy Spirit on the basis of grace through faith, and the resurrection of all to Life or damnation. John 5:28-29: Rom. 3:21-30; Eph. 2:8.
  1. We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross provides healing for spirit, soul, and body, through believing prayer. Isa. 53:5; James 5:14-16; I Pet. 2:24
